...The Missions and Service Committee encourages members to support numerous special mission activities and offerings throughout the year, including:

  • Tutors for Forest Hills Elementary School.
  • Ministry with the Forest Hills Presbyterian Learning Center.
  • Meals-on-Wheels drivers.
  • Annual food drive and 3-Cents-A-Meal program.
  • Christmas gifts for children through the Angel Tree Program.
  • Donations of food, clothing, and supplies to Beth-El Mission and Metropolitan Ministries.
  • Sponsorship of children at the Thornwell Home for Children in South Carolina.
  • One Great Hour of Sharing.
  • Joy Gift program.
  • Contributions to the Tampa Bay Presbytery and General Assembly funds for missions and services throughout our community and the world.

...The Evangelism Committee sponsors a variety of activities to attract and welcome visitors and new members to our church, including:

  • The church web page.
  • The "Bread Squad" - a special thank-you to our first-time visitors.
  • "Invite-A-Friend" Sundays.
  • Newspaper and Yellow Pages advertising.
  • Publication of a "Welcome Packet" for new members.
  • Co-sponsorship of a Spirituality Retreat at Cedarkirk (Presbyterian Retreat Center).

...The Membership Care Committee oversees numerous programs designed to nurture and care for the needs of our congregation, including:

  • New member luncheons the 5th Sunday of each month.
  • Programming for the weekly Wednesday night dinners.
  • Neighborhood Network - an unbroken chain linking the members and friends of our congregation to each other.
  • Co-sponsorship of family retreats at Cedarkirk.
  • Christmas caroling.
  • The "Shepherd Program" to welcome new church members.
  • Bereavement group to organize receptions following memorial and funeral services.

...The Board of Deacons provides caring support to the shut-ins, ill, and bereaved in our congregation:

  • Visiting, calling, and writing families in need.
  • Delivering flowers to hospitals, nursing homes, and the homebound.
  • Assisting Rev. Miller with homebound communions.
  • Helping with memorial and funeral services.
